Practical support for growing businesses.
We help small businesses identify gaps, simplify what's become complicated, and put practical solutions in place — the kind that fit the way you actually operate.
As your business grows, the way you run it has to grow too.
Most of it starts informally — and that's normal. But somewhere between five employees and fifty, the systems that used to work stop keeping up. Nothing is necessarily broken. It's just held together more loosely than it should be.
- Responsibilities aren't always clearly defined
- Key processes live mostly in someone's head
- Onboarding looks different every time
- Employee documentation is scattered
- Policies are missing, outdated, or unwritten
- Safety records are hard to keep on top of
- Training happens, but it isn't tracked
- Forms and spreadsheets don't talk to each other
- The owner is still involved in everything
- Everyone does things a little differently
Four connected areas. One stronger business.
You don't need to know which one applies to you. Most businesses need a bit of all four — we help you figure out where to focus first.
We help identify business gaps, clarify priorities, and turn challenges into practical action plans that support better decisions and steadier growth.
We help organize employee processes, workplace policies, documentation, onboarding and performance practices — the systems behind a team that runs smoothly.
We help strengthen safety documentation, policies, training records and incident reporting — practical compliance processes built for how your workplace actually runs.
We help simplify workflows, build SOPs, organize documentation and set up the tools and systems that make everyday operations easier to manage.
From figuring out what's going on to putting the fix in place.
We don't just hand over a list of recommendations and leave. Implementation is part of the work.
Understand
We look at what's happening day to day and identify where the gaps actually are.
Prioritize
We separate what needs attention now from what can reasonably wait.
Implement
We help build, organize or fix what's needed — not just describe it.
Support
We stay available for project-based or ongoing support when it's useful.

About Modera
Built from the operational side of business.
Modera was created from hands-on experience working across the parts of a business that often overlap but rarely fit neatly into one role — people operations, workplace compliance, administration, systems and day-to-day operations.
Working closely with growing businesses revealed a common pattern: as companies grow, the work behind the business grows too. Processes become more complex, responsibilities overlap, documentation piles up, and owners end up managing areas they never expected to.
Modera exists to make that side of the business easier to manage. We take a practical, cross-functional approach — understand what's happening, identify what actually needs attention, and help put better processes and systems in place.
My background has always been cross-functional. I've worked across business operations, people processes, workplace compliance, administration and systems — often in roles where the job was less about staying inside one department and more about figuring out what needed to happen to keep the business moving.
That experience shaped the idea behind Modera: small businesses don't always need another department. Sometimes they need someone who can look across the business, connect the dots, and help turn messy processes into something practical and manageable.
Your business doesn't need everything. It needs the right support.
You don't need to know whether it's an HR problem, a safety problem, or an operations problem before reaching out. Tell us what's going on — we'll help you figure out the rest.
